MODERNCHRISTMAS

There’s more than one way to do Christmas and we love the idea of freshening up the traditional decor. Here are some fun ways to┬áput a spin on your holiday home with unconventional Christmas trees:

Hang your tree from the ceiling

While some may be partial to the one large tree in the living room, we also love the series of small trees, especially above a point of interest like a bar counter. Our tip: keep it fresh and slightly edited on ornaments. The tree is already hanging from the ceiling; it can benefit from a little subtlety.

Don’t get a tree at all

Want a new way to decorate? What about skipping the tree (but getting something comparable and chic in its stead)? We love these ideas – from ornaments to branches┬áto books. All you need is some light and color to make your space holiday-ready.

If you’re more a fan of the 2D tree, we love the artful approach to Christmas, too. It’s not only modern and joyful, but perfect for a secondary tree.

Lastly, there’s the book tree. You don’t have to be Barnes or Noble to pull it off. Just simply arrange your collection on the ground or table.
