On March 24th, Pink Verbena, and our fellow Charleston Blog Society members, were invited to attend an Opening Night event for the home furnishings retailer, Arhaus. There, in Mt. Pleasant, we were granted exclusive access to one of the company’s newest locations, Arhaus, Charleston, before they opened their doors to the general public.
A catered affair, Burton’s Grill of Mt. Pleasant provided us with a sumptuous spread fit for royalty. We felt so at home at this splendid event! We invite you to tour this wonderful evening with us, via the following photographs, courtesy of The Charleston Blog Society.
Founded in 1986, Arhaus can best be described as a source for sustainable, high-end furniture with a global appeal. We were in awe as we viewed each showroom piece, section by section. The quality and sophistication that went into each decor item and piece of furniture was evident at first glance. Each area of the showroom flowed seamlessly into different themes. The offerings at Arhaus Charleston speaks to various design aesthetics. There’s surely something for everyone in this store.
“We started in 1986 with a passion to provide unique, high quality, well designed home furnishings. Our philosophy was to design our own products, search for the best manufacturer while controlling quality, and bring the furniture direct to our customers. Our product developers travel the globe working directly with skilled artisans to craft pieces that can only be found at Arhaus, ensuring that every Arhaus piece meets our high quality standards. We promise you Cherry, Elm and many other natural hardwoods. Natural stone tabletops. 100% organic cotton fabrics. True wrought iron beds, made with forged iron using time honored methods and uncompromising handwork.” -Arhaus, LLC.
To help oversee the grand opening event, Arhaus sent its Chief Creative Officer, Gary Babcock. Gary was gracious enough to lead us all on a guided tour of the showroom and provide us with the backstory of the many items in the store.
“Retail is theater and the store is our stage”
-Gary Babcock, Arhaus Chief Creative Officer
