Sure, we knew that 84 Lumber was a great place for, well, lumber. But did you know that they also are a sound resource for tiny homes, too? That’s right, 84 Lumber is now offering tiny home enthusiasts everything they need to create a small home from DIY building plans to tiny home shells and fully loaded small homes. To promote this, they’ve hit the road to tour the US with a couple of their model homes to spread the word and answer questions about tiny living. So when we heard that they’d be bringing their “Shonsie” model to Mt. Pleasant, SC, we made sure to be there.

Call Her “Shonsie”

The “Shonsie” is a 155 sq. ft. Tiny Home on Wheels or, THOW. The model we toured came fully equipped with things like a full size shower, mid-size kitchen appliances and tons of neat storage options. Here’s a full list of features from 84 Lumber’s website:shonsie specs

We Love a Loft!

We were granted a lot of access to the Shonsie. Our favorite areas on the tiny home? The loft,of course. It’s so cozy!

We were allowed to walk up the ladder and view the loft where the bed was. Isn’t it amazing that a real queen size mattress can fit up here!

Need additional counter top space, just use this cover and make your sink disappear.
