Recently, we had the pleasure of teaming up with travel and leisure blogger, Liz Martin of the Charleston Weekender, to film a short tutorial on how to set a fun, colorful table top. Liz’s fun and effervescent personality translates well here and is seen in each curated item she selected for this tablescape. Take a look!

When Life Gives You Lemons

Lemons are on-trend, thanks largely to Queen Beyoncé! And this is the perfect time of year to inject a little bright and sunny energy in your home. So why should your dinner table be left out? Pink Verbena Tablescape 2

We love how Liz paired traditional flatware with these lemon-themed melamine plates. It’s a quick and easy way to dress up any lunch or dinner party setting. Personalized place cards, like these from The Town Serif are a great touch, too!

The Unexpected

Traditional can, at times, be a bit mundane. So, Liz chose to add unexpected details to the table setting that are sure-fire crowd pleasers. These trendy gingham place mates are eye catching and offer a warm welcome message printed on them. And here’s a tip from CW: in place of your standard linen or paper napkins, opt for textiles like a small Turkish hand towel to help keep your guests hands tidy during a meal.  Also, why not ditch that same-old-silverware and reach for some bronze cutlery instead.

The Little Things

You don’t need elaborate floral arrangements to make a statement during your get-together. Liz staged this fern and bud vase as a centerpiece for her table. She shows us you can bring a bit of nature indoors without it being overpowering.Pink Verbena Tablescape 4

Want to offer your guests a little help keeping track of their drink? Adding numbers to these chalk note tumblers will do the trick.

Liz truly outdid herself with this tablescape and offered us tons of home decor tips. Stay tuned for more collaborations with Pink Verbena and  The Charleston Weekender in the near future.
